HOUSTON – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – This school year, Mitsubishi 45 Foundation associated with the Spring ISD Police Department with a donation of over $ 4,000 to help support their Dream Makers project. Having recently distributed over 3,500 backpacks filled with school supplies to K-5 students in ISD Spring, Houston and Aldine, it was clear that there was still a need to have a bigger impact in their lives. community. The Spring ISD Police Department spearheads many student-focused initiatives. Blue Santa pairs police officers from Spring ISD with 30 students from the school district for a $ 200 dinner and shopping spree. Programs like this strongly encourage relationship building with officers, students and the community. This year, the Blue Santa will be held on December 13 in the Spring Community shopping area. The Blue Santa program has a fundraising goal of $ 6,000, and the 45 Mitsubishi Foundation contribution was able to cover more than half of that! The 45 Foundation also sponsored a police chief, lieutenant, corporal and officer for its Read With a Cop literacy program.
