PORTLAND, Oregon — A man from Albany, Oregon was sentenced to federal prison today for distributing heroin and methamphetamine in and around Linn County, Oregon.
Anthoni Joseph Bassetti, 28, was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison and four years on probation.
According to court documents, in January 2020, officers from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) began investigating Bassetti, a mid-level drug dealer who sold heroin and methamphetamine in and around Linn County. In the same month, agents organized and carried out two secret drug deals with Bassetti. As a result of these operations, on March 6, 2020, officers executed a federal search warrant at Bassetti’s residence in Albany, seizing quantities of methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine users and seven firearms.
On March 3, 2020, Bassetti was indicted with a criminal complaint of distributing methamphetamine and heroin. Later, on August 27, 2020, he was charged by criminal intelligence with distributing methamphetamine. On August 9, 2021, he dropped the charge and pleaded guilty to the single charge.

This case was investigated by the ATF with the assistance of the Linn Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (LINE), which is made up of investigators from the Albany, Lebanon and Sweet Home Police Departments. , Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, and Oregon Army National Guard Counter.
