Ford celebrated the success of its top 30 car and van retailers by naming the recipients of its annual President’s Awards.

Among the top performing AM100 car retail groups represented in the awards were TrustFord, the Bristol Street Motors and Macklin Motors divisions of Vertu Motors and Lookers.

Sarah Walker, Loyalty and eCommerce Manager for Ford Great Britain and Ireland, said: “Our dealerships are held to a consistently high level of performance in the service and sales areas of the business.

“These winning dealerships deliver exceptionally high levels of customer engagement, combined with equally strong sales and aftersales performance, despite the challenging environment in which we operate. Congratulations to them all.

Celebrating Vertu Motors’ success, PLC Managing Director Robert Forrester said, “It’s fantastic that three of our dealers have been recognized in this way.

“Winning dealerships are chosen based on real, honest customer feedback, which makes it all the more rewarding.”

Vertu’s Bristol Street Motors Bolton Ford, Kings Norton Ford and Macklin Motors Glasgow Ford have all received the manufacturer’s highest honor.

Annual President’s Award-winning dealerships demonstrate the delivery of exceptionally high levels of customer service and satisfaction, combined with strong sales and after-sales performance.

Franchisees had to perform well in the challenging environment presented due to COVID-19 and supply shortages which recently triggered the suspension of Fiesta sales in the UK.

Extensive research is continually conducted by Ford to gauge exactly how customers feel about the quality of care they receive from their chosen dealership, whether buying a new car or to have their vehicle serviced.

Data on new H1 car registrations from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) released yesterday showed Ford was the UK’s top-selling brand in the first half of 2022.

Its Puma crossover was the second best-selling car in the first half of 2022, behind the Vauxhall Corsa, with the Kuga SUV also making the top 10.
