New Delhi: Tata Punch, an upcoming micro SUV from India’s most popular automotive company, Tata Motors, is highly anticipated in the Indian automotive market. Even before its launch, it made headlines. Based on Tata’s H2X concept, this micro SUV has already started hitting showrooms. The company recently unveiled its design and some of its features in a new teaser video. Let’s see what would be the price of this micro SUV in India.
Just like its big brother Tata Harrier, Tata Punch offers a Terrain mode that will allow the train to go to any type of area. These modes would help provide excellent throttle response, especially on bad roads. It would also come with eco and sport driving modes.
As for transmission options, it would come with just one option of a 1.2L gasoline engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This is the same transmission used in the Altroz and Tiago de Tata models. The driving mode system in this car would improve the driving experience.
Tata’s micro SUV Punch is reportedly not yet available in a diesel variant. However, we can expect a turbo petrol model, just like the one that was recently released for Tata Altroz. We can also see an automatic AMT version of this car later on. The base price of this micro SUV should be around Rs. 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is believed that Tata could launch its Tata Punch micro SUV very soon. It is said to be an amazing option for car buyers. However, news about Hyundai launching its new micro SUV, Hyundai Casper, in India also surfaced a few days ago. Stay tuned for more information on Tata Punch as we’ll bring you more details on its launch later.
