Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for its next big launch, the 2022 Brezza sub-4m SUV, which is expected to hit showrooms by the end of June. In case you have one, some dealerships have started offline reservations for a token amount of Rs 11,000. a new automatic gearbox. The Foundations, however, are likely to be an evolved version of its predecessor.
Spy photos of an undisguised 2022 Brezza surfaced online before Maruti could officially unveil the subcompact SUV, revealing the vehicle’s new design to the world.Up front, you now get sleeker, more angular LED headlights that pair well with the new grille. The overall silhouette of the Brezza remains the same, although the quarter glass is larger and the alloys are new. The rear is radical with sleeker LED taillights and the license plate housing is on the bumper instead of the tailgate.
Inside, the basic design language with the 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system will be identical to that of the Baleno. Additionally, the Brezza will likely get new features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, six airbags and a head-up display.
There will also be a big change under the bonnet as the Brezza will get the updated 1.5-litre 103PS petrol engine from the facelifted Ertiga and XL6. This engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It also benefits from mild hybrid technology.
The new Brezza is expected to be priced at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, the upcoming Hyundai Venue 2022, etc.
