One of Britain’s most venerable car brands, MG, is back in the Highlands with the opening of a new showroom in Inverness.

Dicksons of Inverness has become the latest group of dealers to join the MG family as the brand continues to expand which has made it the fastest growing car brand in the UK over the past 12 months.

Dicksons is a well-known and established family business and looks forward to welcoming customers to its new MG showroom, located in the town’s Telford Retail Park on Carsegate Road.

The showroom offers a range of new and used cars, as well as on-site charging, maintenance and after-sales services.

MG Motor Commercial Director Guy Pigounakis added: “We have really focused on expanding our presence in Scotland in 2021 and the appointment of Dicksons of Inverness is an important part of that. The name MG dates back to the 1920s and later became associated with some of the favorite sports models of the British. After the MG Rover group went into receivership in 2005, the brand, along with the group’s other assets, was purchased by Chinese automotive group Nanjing and is now part of SAIC Motor, one of the world’s largest automakers. .

MG currently offers six models in the UK, including three plug-in cars – the established MG ZS EV, the all-new game-changing MG5 EV and the MG HS plug-in hybrid.
