State Department suspends license for Troy vehicle dealership

SEPTEMBER 16, 2021

TROY – The Michigan Department of State (MDOS) has issued a summary suspension of a Troy vehicle dealership for failing to provide records during attempted MDOS inspections following multiple consumer complaints.

JJ’s Best Auto Sales, located at 2838 E. Long Lake Road in Troy and owned by Julian Johnson, received a summary suspension on September 7. March 10 and September 1. The dealership was released and records were not available for inspection. Prior to the suspension, a preliminary conference was scheduled with attempted notifications not recognized by the owner. This facility has a documented history of release from licensed locations and previous summary suspensions.

The suspension remains in effect until Johnson contacts MDOS ‘Compliance and Business Regulation division to arrange another preliminary hearing and provide all required documents.
