State Department Takes Action Against Dealership Harper Woods

MARCH 7, 2022

HARPER WOODS – The Michigan Department of State (MDOS) has filed a summary complaint of suspension and revocation against a Harper Woods dealership for imminent harm to the public.

Reasonable Rides, owned by Toryiano Richardson and located at 19240 Kelly Road, has been summarily suspended for imminent consumer harm. Dealer continually failed to apply for title and registration on behalf of purchaser within 15 days as required by the Michigan Vehicle Code, improperly completed title and registration applications, submitted a improper sales tax to MDOS and committed fraudulent acts by under-reporting the sale price of a vehicle.

The ministry will seek the revocation of the concessionaire’s license in an administrative hearing.

Consumers who have a complaint against Reasonable Rides are encouraged to call the Office of Investigation Services Automotive Complaint Line at 517-335-1410.
