Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba has confirmed the appointment of CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi as the 25th Indigenous Force Public Relations Officer.
CSP Adejobi was appointed on an interim basis on February 16, 2022 after succeeding CP Frank Mba, who was appointed by the Inspector General of Police for the Senior Staff Course at the National Institute for Political and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jose.
According to a statement released yesterday, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi studied Archeology and Geography (Honours) at Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Ibadan, and holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Peace Studies. conflicts of the same university.
He served for a long time as the Police Public Relations Officer with the Ogun State Police Command from 2008 to 2016.
He also served as the Headquarters of PPRO Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos in 2016 and PPRO, Lagos State Police Command between September 2020 and August 2021 when he was assigned to deputize the former Force PRO, CP Frank Mba.
CSP Adejobi has carved out a niche for himself in Police Public Relations Management through his experience as a PPRO in different police commands and areas for over a decade.
He was also Operations Officer, OC Anti Bank Robbery and Anti Pipeline Vandalization, Sagamu Division from 2006 to 2008; Administrative Officer, Operations Department, Police Headquarters, Ogun State in 2008; Operations Officer, Department of Operations, Lagos State Command Ikeja in 2017; Leadership Staff, Ikeja Police College; and as Personal Assistant to the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Operations Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja
