Wheeler Dealers debuted in 2003. It was created by Attaboy TV founders Michael Wood and Dan Allum, as well as Mike Brewer, an auto dealer and at the time an established presenter on Channel 4 shows. , including Deals on Wheels and Driven. Following the conclusion of his C4 contract, Brewer helped develop a show with the working title “Grand Autos” for Discovery. Ant took root in the United States, married and had a child with TV personality Christina Haack, so chose to stay in the United States. Haack and Anstead divorced in 2021 and he is now dating actress Renée Zellweger.

Ant’s place was taken by Marc ‘Elvis’ Priestley, a former McLaren Formula 1 mechanic turned TV presenter. Priestley will be a familiar face to some fans, having previously starred in Wheeler Dealers: Dream Car. Anstead will continue to be a part of the show via occasional guest appearances.

When is the new series and where can I watch it?

Season 17 began on August 30, 2021 (September 6 in select territories) with an episode covering the purchase, refurbishment and sale of a 1965 Austin Mini. The series is filmed at Bicester Heritage in Oxford in a new workshop / studio built for Wheeler Dealers.

The episodes air and rehearse on Discovery Channel, Discovery Channel +1, and Discovery Channel HD.
